The Shade Isle Campaign
Berserk Bay is an inlet on the west coast of Shade Isle, which begins where the Durdäs Falls empty into the Nhordic Sea. The town of Dwerport is situated on a harbor within Berserk Bay, and rumor speaks of an old temple to the northern sea-god, Ægir, out on an island somewhere at the bay’s mouth.
The Dolhemian Navy has Dwerport locked down under a strict blockade. The adventuring company has not yet dealt with the Navy directly, but they’ve heard that it consists of both fast clipper-ships and heavy gun-boats, and no merchant ship out of Dwerport can outrun them or contend with their firepower. Dolheim’s blockade has all but halted waterborne trade out of that port city, although the Navy mostly doesn’t accost fishermen who stay within the bay. This has forced practically every sailor in Dwerport to turn to fishing for a living, which is quickly running into the risk of over-fishing the region; and it has caused merchants who otherwise wouldn’t risk Shade Isle’s dangerous overland routes to consider trade with Sægen and Rorgan Villages.
