The Shade Isle Campaign
The adventuring company has met Grandfather once. During a negotiation meeting between Matriarch Garavel, the newly-appointed baroness of Dwerport, and Jonétticel, the guild-mistress of thieves, Grandfather crashed the meeting. Garavel’s reaction was to end the meeting and storm off in a rage; there seems to be some history there.
Grandfather is a dwarf who wears a ranger’s cloak (keeping his face hidden) and smokes a long, clay pipe. His skill at both breaking-and-entering and escape-artistry is demonstrably masterful. He’s a very soft-spoken and mysterious sort of dwarf, who would rather dispense riddles than speak plainly about his affairs—as befits someone who shrouds himself in mystery.
