Lasaveya

Of this great, northern island, very little is known, except that it has become new homeland for elf-kind since the sinking of Páradhel more than nine-hundred years ago. The High Elves of Lasaveya are much friendlier and more civilized than their wood-dwelling kindred found elsewhere in Lethandria. They build cities, they welcome travelers, and they send out explorers of their own: young elves from Lasaveya are notoriously adventurous, so craving of new experiences and excitement that they border on the reckless and hedonistic. There are a fair number of humans living on this island’s coastal cities, as well; half-elves are much likelier to come from here than from anywhere else, where Wood Elves tend to live tense and solitary lives away from men.

The far north of Lasaveya is covered in glaciers; but further south, it is a country of virgin conifer forests, volcanic plains, and geothermal springs. A number of beautiful elf-built cities—Alith Anur, Mindoannan, and Elberonel—dot the coastline. Further inland are the fortified stronghold of Illeresse; and the capital city of Lothuil, where Gillarion Elven-King holds court. The language of Lasaveya, called simply “Lasaveyan” by most, is in fact little changed from the Old Elvish spoken in times before the Fall.
