The Shade Isle Campaign
Starshrine to Thünor
The Starshrine to Thünor is a plain stone rectangular temple, high up in the northeastern peaks on Thunder Table. The symbol of the Mjölnir is carved above the door, and this is also the holy symbol above the Starshrine’s altar.
This shrine is tended by a pech who does not speak, but can communicate with simple gestures. The shrine-keeper is an extraordinarily passive creature, with a patient and serene demeanor.
When the adventuring company found this shrine and slept here, they received a vision from Thünor, who told them that the evil sleeping under Shade Isle is “a dark god called ‘Izatu-Bal’, although his deluded followers, who seek to wake him, know him by another name.” That morning, a shrine-gift had appeared on the altar: a hammer of returning +2. All of the player characters had also been awarded 4,000 bonus XP.
