A cœurl is an alien creature which looks like a six-legged panther with a pair of long, barbed tentacles growing out from its shoulders. It attacks by whipping its tentacles at its prey. A cœurl bends light around itself, so it always appears to be about 3’ in some random direction away from where it really is. This gives the creature a +2 bonus on saving throws and (most of the time) Armor Class. If the creature becomes severely wounded (6 hp or less), it will actually start to fight with more ferocity, adding +2 on its to-hit rolls and attacking with a bite (1d6) in addition to its tentacle-whips (FC +9, 2d4/2d4/1d6).
