Green slime can only be harmed by fire and cold. It can only creep slowly, but it can cling to walls and ceilings and drop down on victims when it senses movement underneath. When green slime touches flesh, it starts eating and dissolving it, turning it into more green slime. It cannot be scraped off, only burned away with fire (or cold) or destroyed by a cure disease spell.

After six rounds of contact with green slime, the slime will rapidly start to eat away at a victim’s flesh, causing 2d4 points of permanent Constitution loss every round. A victim whose Constitution is reduced to 0 has turned completely into green slime.

Sunlight and cure disease destroy green slime instantly. Burning the slime away with either fire or cold based attacks will cause half the damage to the slime and half the damage to its victim.
