A living statue is a construct created by magic, much like a golem. But where a golem is barely intelligent enough to follow simple commands, living statues are endowed with a modicum of self-awareness. Living statues can be made of several different materials; so far, the party has encountered crystal statues, which have no special abilities beyond perfect ambidexterity, allowing them to attack twice per round in combat; and iron statues, which have the bizarre ability to cause iron or steel weapons that strike them to become stuck to their body, as if by a powerful magnetic force (and then slowly absorbed into the iron statue over time).
